First junior title for Olga Molchanova on the ITF circuit

Olga Molchanova, just 14 years old member of EMPIRE Tennis Academy member, advanced to her first final at the ITF international junior circuit and she won it.

Molchanova played Grade 5 tournament called Liberation Day of Niksic in Montenegro town of Niksic for 18-years old players and younger. She won the tournament as unseeded player with ranking 2810 in singles.

She has played final with Slovak Inez Maria Kotlikova and won the game 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(6). Kotlikova had some match points, but Olga Molchanova was successful in the end. Molchanova was in the final of doubles also, she played together with Slovak player Yvonna Zuffova, but the girls were defeated by second seeded pair Tikhonko / Volgapkin.

Olga Molchanova was prepared in the week before the tournament by coach Michal Brtko. "We've been working on forehand, speed and aggressive style of play so Olga be able to keep the pace with older opponents. We would like she proves constantly change the rhythm of the game, has variety of services, returns and study rival style of play. I am thinking, she was very well prepared for Montenegro tournament. For me it was not any surprise she beats third seeded girl. I expected Olga will be good, but I was not sure she could win the whole tournament. But she did, so I'm very happy. She spent the entire week trying to play with pace, working hard, so she deserved to achieve such a good result at the end of the season," said Michal Brtko for www.empire-tennis-academy.com.
