Janos Fekete

Miloslav Grolmus and his player Janos Fekete, member of elite EMPIRE Tennis Academy in Trnava, finished the year as No. 61 in the Tennis Europe Year End Ranking. He was the best in his age category from Slovakia.

Also because of his great results in 2015, Janos Fekete made his way into the EMPIRE Tennis Academy. Janos Fekete is coached by Miloslav Grolmus, who shared his opinion about the player. "At first he is a player. He is a playing type, likes to play matches, he can motivate himself, which is very important. He is great defensively, good legs, movement and we can build on it. Great forehand, we need to work more on serve. He is improving, but he still got more potential. He is type, who needs a hand over him to work hard. He needs to be motivated during training sessions as well. It will not change in the future. He likes to play for points, in whatever aspect," says Trnava academy coach.

Janos Fekete won LBS Muller Junior Cup Ulm in August 2015, second category event in Ulm, Germany and he then added another win of Tennis Europe U14 age category in September in Umag, Croatia. This was category three tournament. He came second in Talent of the year awards announced by Slovak Tennis Association with 72 points. "First half of the season was very average, there were international matches, which he should have won. In the winter national championship he won singles and doubles, which is a great result for him. In summer, he grabbed some form and end of the season was fantastic. It will motivate him into the next season," adds Grolmus and he speaks more about favourite surfaces of his player. "He really prefers faster clay. He feels best there, he can do more with the ball, be more variable in his game. He belongs to the Top 30 in Tennis Europe rankings, although now he is around Top 60,“ evaluates coach Miloslav Grolmus.

Janos Fekete will play Tennis Europe U16 tournaments in the first half of the season. "Between him and eighteen years old guys there is still big difference. We will join some Junior ITF U18 tournaments that are close to us. We need to adapt the schedule so he can actually win some of them. He will also play at domestic youth tournaments. We need to fight the right balance, so he can be successful. It would add him extra motivation to work even harder," adds Miloslav Grolmus
