Tereza Mihalikova & Jan Studenic joins EMPIRE Tennis Academy in Trnava

Only 17 years old Tereza Mihalikova joins team of EMPIRE Tennis Academy in Trnava. She is the former Australian Open winner and one of the best junior players on the circuit. Together with her long term coach Jan Studenic, they will have fully to their disposal all the facilities in the TC EMPIRE club as well as possibilities for great sparing with Slovakian and foreign players in the academy. 

Tereza Mihalikova, born in Topolcany, made a major breakthrough into the top junior tennis. In 2015, she won the singles at the Australian Open and one year later, she was in the singles final and won the doubles. She was already successful amongst women, winning four 10K ITF tournaments, two of them in the current season 2016. 
In the junior combined ITF ranking, her career best for now remains 4th position from August 2015. In the WTA rankings, she is at her career best – 466th place. Jan Studenic remains her coach in the academy. "We have been visiting the club together with Tereza quite often; we used the possibilities for good sparing. We have been searching, where it works best in Slovakia. We did not choose blindly Trnava. We were delighted by the approach of people in the academy, by the coaching staff. And very importantly also the players that have already joined the academy. Svitolina is in the academy, Kasatkina, Blinkova. For Tereza and also other players i tis a great motivation," told www.empire-tennis-academy.com Jan Studenic about main reasons for joining the academy. "Very positive is approach of Mr. Hlavna. I received offer to work here as a coach for the academy and I will be still the personal coach of Tereza. I can work in then academy on the methodology, which motivates me further. After appointing head coach Vladimir Platenik and other experienced coaches, whole academy turns into amazing place for young tennis players. I think EMPIRE is on the right track, becoming a world known academy," added Studenic. 
"We are delighted to welcome Tereza in our academy. We are very honoured to have her in our academy and we will do our best for her and her coach to have professional facilities and all the services needed for her further tennis improvement," said director of board of TC EMPIRE Trnava Miroslav Hlavna. 
Mihalikova joins important part of the team also including players like Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, Russian Daria Kasatkina, Slovakians Rebecca Sramkova, Andrej Martin, Igor Zelenay, Chilean Hans Podlipnik-Castillo and great junior players from Russia Anna Blinkova and Artem Dubrivnyy.
