Svitolina with first singles title of the season in Taipei

Elina Svitolina defeated Shuai PENG from China in the finals of WTA in Taipei in two straight sets 6-3, 6-2 and has the first singles title of the 2017 season.

Elina Svitolina, and Ons Jabeur, both EMPIRE Tennis Academy members played already at Fridays Quarterfinals at WTA in Taipei against each other.
Ukrainian number 13 in a world defeated Jabeur after 1h 57 min in a battle royal in 3 sets.

Ons Jabeur won in first two rounds against American players Gibbs and Rogers. Then in the EMPIRE Tennis Academy derby Elina Svitolina from Ukraine prevailed after 1h 57 min 1-6, 6-3, 6-7(4). She has defeated then in the semifinals Minella from Luxemburg 6-3 6-2 and after win against Peng has achived her first WTA singles title of the season!

"This is amazing! Thank you to all of the fans who came out to support me this week," said Svitolina after the final.
