Safarova reached singles finals and doubles semifinals in BUDAPEST

EMPIRE Tennis Academy member Lucie Šafářová was playing at WTA International in Budapest.

Lucie Šafářová, who became EMPIRE Tennis Academy member just few days ago was playing at WTA tournament in Hungarian capitol Budapest. After first round 3 sets battle royal against Polish player Magda LINETTE she defeated in the second round Su-Wei HSIEH from Taipei. Lucie Šafářová then in the quarterfinals came through Belorussian Sasnovich in 2 sets. In Saturdays semifinals she overwhelmed German Witthoeft in 2 sets.
Lucie Šafářová played in Sunday's finals local player and her doubles partner Timea Babos, number 33 in the WTA rankings. After 2 hrs and 20 min she lost 7-6(4), 4-6, 3-6.
Lucie also reached doubles semifinals with Timea Babos, they withdrew against combination Rodinova(AUS) / Voskoboeva (KAZ).
