David Schwarc winning at the Ukrainian Junior Open

EMPIRE Tennis Academy member David Schwarc, has had a very successful June playing the U14 European Tennis circuit.
With the help of his coach, Peter Lajkep, David has won Tennis Europe U14 singles title in Budapest (Hungary), Kharkiv (Ukraine) and Irpin (Ukraine), where he defeated Vladimir Bazilevskyi of Israel in 3 sets, 6:1, 6:7 and 6:1.

“Even though David was very tired after playing this mini-series of tournaments, he played really well in Irpin. Contributing factors to David’s success was his control of his emotions and the tactical match plan he was following.
David walked onto the court, better mentally prepared than his opponent in the final at Irpin. This resulted in a quick first set win for him. However, his opponent gathered himself mentally in the second set and began to play better. Both players then began fighting for every point, leading to much longer rallies, culminating a tie break to decide the second set.
David found himself up 5:2 in the resultant tie break but was unable to convert this to finalise the match, leading to a third set play off. The third set started off evenly but a decisive break came at 3:1 for David and he then held serve. David then controlled the end of the match as a professional player”,
his coach Peter Lajkep said, who was travelling with David.
“David celebrates his greatest success on the international scene. He completed kind of hattrick from European tournaments when he achieved titles from all 3 categories (third, second and first) in a last 4 weeks,“ added his coach.
”I’d like to add that Andrej Poritskyj, who lost in a first round to number 4 seed player Mikalai Bankou from Belarus, then overwhelmed in a consolation round all players without a loss of a set,“ mentioned Lajkep, too.
