Daniel Trcka from Czech Republic takes head coach role in TC EMPIRE Trnava

TC EMPIRE tennis club have a new addition to their coaching staff. By July 1st, Daniel Trcka takes over head coach role and his main task in the beginning will be to bring stability to squad and coaching staff. He is looking forward the challenge, because he will keep on working with young talents. Number of young prospects continuously grows in Trnava.

Daniel Trcka, born in Roznov pod Radhostem, is arriving to Trnava from Tatranska Lomnica, where he coached young talents. "I am in Slovakia four years now, I worked for TK Vysoke Tatry, and basically every half a year I received offers from TC EMPIRE. Time has come to move on. Considering the players, I had under my belt in High Tatras, it was difficult to give them something more and new to help them improve. It was time for a change. It was time also for them to move into a bigger club to play against better players. This way I can use experience from professional tennis," said Daniel Trcka for www.tcempire.sk.

New head coach presented his plans for the upcoming days and weeks. "First thing will be to stabilise squad of players and coaching staff. We need to clarify the performance groups in all categories. We have to work on improving the training process with all the coaches, we will implement performance goals. We need to set training volumes and content of trainings," said coach, who does not want to lose contact with his players. "I will definitely find time to spend time on the court with players. I also count on travelling to different tournaments during the year. My son arrived with me, he will take part in the training process," mentioned Czech mentor.

"It is with big pleasure and honour to welcome Daniel Trcka in the TC EMPIRE head coach role. He will be in charge of the Slovakian and International part of the academy. He will be in charge of new project of preparing Slovakian international players in our club," was the first reaction after signing the contract by the president of the board of members at TC EMPIRE Miroslav Hlavna.

Daniel Trcka, who used to coach amongst others Jiri Novak, is surprised to see a very functioning international EMPIRE Tennis Academy along with tennis club in Trnava. There are some great players in the academy with great future ahead of them.

With Vladimir Platenik in charge of the academy, and with top Slovakian players as members along with top WTA players, positive words about the academy are being spread very quickly. "There are very few projects like this in the area around. Without clubs like this one, players will find it difficult to improve and move on. It is very difficult to bring up new generation of national team players. It is for me a bit surprising that players like Daria Kastkina or Elina Svitolina are based here. Marketing, coaches and board of members works on a very high level. I consider it as great thing that club has opened its doors to foreign players and they help to improve the quality of Slovak tennis in return," added Daniel Trcka
