Anna Blinkova is back in Trnava, her new coach will be Mislav Hizak

Anna Blinkova (19), former EMPIRE Tennis Academy member, is back in Trnava. She agreed to work with a Croatian coach from our academy, Mislav Hizak. Promising Russian player will be relying on his experience and a positive attitude.

Anna Blinkova was a member of the EMPIRE Tennis Academy in the 2016 season, the season when she became a junior world champion in China. That tournament was held in April at China town Chengdu on hard surface. Blinkova overcame in the final Katie Swan from Great Britain 6-4, 7-6 (4), which really helped her for the upcoming months. She was able to set a new personal best on the WTA circuit when she reached No. 114 in the rankings.

"I returned to EMPIRE Tennis Academy because I like it very much here. It is an excellent training base, with quality conditions and convenient accommodation for the players. Last but not least there's also a lot of players I can train with," she said for website www.empire-tennis-academy.com, the reasons of her return.

Croatian coach Mislav Hizak, who worked in Trnava with Tunisian Ons Jabeur, will become her new coach. Mislav Hizak is the man who helped Jabeur to break Top 100 for the first time in her career in 2017.

"Mislav, my new coach has already worked with high-level players. He is experienced and positive guy. I believe he would be able to improve my game, give me confidence and self-reliance. I hope our cooperation will be continue for long time," believes Russian player. Anna Blinkova is preparing for the beginning of the season. She will start to play in Shenzhen and Taipei.
