Anhelina Kalinina won title in USA without losing set

EMPIRE Tennis Academy member, coached by Vladimir Platenik, Anhelina Kalinina won the ITF tournament in American town Jackson (25 000 USD).

Ukrainian member of Trnava’s Academy Anhelina Kalinina has returned to ITF circuit after previous health problems. She started new season very well, winning tournaments in Daytona Beach and Orlando and plays quarterfinal in Wesley Chapel, but then she needs to stopped playing due to illness.
She came back in the beginning of this month and move together with her coach Vladimir Platenik to Jackson, where she played USTA Women's Pro Circuit $25,000 challenger (25 000 USD). And she did there again well. She advanced to the final and did not give a chance to her opponent Italian Gaia Sanesi in the last game. Kalinina won 6-0, 6-1.
"We came here without expectation. Anhelina was ill for six weeks, so we traveled to Jackson just after two weeks preparation. Our goal was to not focus for results, just to take this tournament as a training. Maybe this method helps us too. Anhelina was playing more relaxed, pressure less and she was better and better in every game. Now we will be playing four more tournaments in USA and then EMPIRE Slovak Open 2018 in Trnava," said after her success Vladimir Platenik. Anhelina Kalinina has won 50 points to the WTA rankings.
