Andrej Martin won the singles title at ATP challenger in Mexico

EMPIRE Trnava Tennis Academy member Andrej Martin being coached by Peter Miklusicak won the singles finals at ATP Challenger San Luis Potosi in Mexico. 

Andrej Martin was playing at clay court outdoor event San Luis Open Challenger Tour 2017. Step by step he defeated Ivan Endara of Ecuador in the first round, Agustin Velotti of Argentina in the second round and in the thrilling quarterfinal encounter also Argentinean Facundo Bagnis after 3 sets battle royal 2-6, 7-6(2) and 7-6(6). 
He played his semifinals match on Sunday early morning our time against Italian Andrea Arnaboldi. He lost their both previous matches but this time succeeded and won in straight sets 6-4 6-3. In the final, he faced Spaniard Adrian Menendez-Maceiras, number 206 in the ATP rankings and won 7-5, 6-4!

Andrej Martin is in the ATP rankings online version currently at 123rd position. This is his 7th challenger singles title.
